Pivot Strategy #3: Choose Progress Over Perfection
As a recovering perfectionist, I learned this strategy the hard way. Often times, I found myself procrastinating because I was making perfection my standard of completion. Meaning, it wasn’t done until it was perfect.
Not only was this an impossible standard to maintain long-term, it was also killing my creativity and stunting my growth. Now I embrace a totally different mindset. I approach things with curiousity to see if I can expand my skills and learn something new. It’s awakened the student in me.
When I approach a new project, I’m building on my previous progress. Rarely am I ever starting from scratch. This mindset shift makes work less daunting and way more fun! It’s opened up doors of possibility for me—like going to Costa Rica with Marvelous Ways International to coach and share my book, The Pivot Journal with a brand new audience.
My Pivot Journal is one of the many fruits of my shift from perfection to progress. It’s available in both English and Spanish and you can find it on my website: [ Ссылка ]
I challenge you to choose progress over perfection today. The rewards are amazing.
