Types of shock include:
Hypovolemic shock: develops when there is a deficient amount of fluid and blood flowing in the blood vessels.
Distributive shock: usually occurs when blood vessels dilate (widen).
Cardiogenic shock: can develop when the heart cannot pump as it should.
Obstructive shock: occurs when the flow of blood is blocked.
Anaphylactic shock: refers to a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction.
Septic shock: occurs when a person has an infection, and the immune system sends its special cells into the blood to fight it.
Neurogenic shock.
