How To Read A Tire Side Reading -Tire Codes & Sizes
Tire sizes are a really confusing topic for many people. Learn how to read a tire size and understand what all these numbers and letters mean.
Tire size can be confusing. Some numbers on the sidewall are listed in millimeters while others are inches. Plus, the right size for your car, truck, or trailer can differ depending on where and how you drive.
How Do I Check the Age of My Tires? This one is easy. To know the date of manufacturing, look out for the 4-digit DOT code on the sidewall. The first 2 digits indicate the week while the last 2 digits are the year.
For example, if the number is 2519, this means the tire was made during the 25th week of the year 2019.
Each tyre should be labelled with its manufacture date. It is helpful with determining its expiry date and the factory in which it was produced.
