The BMW i7 Protection is a bulletproof sedan that offers VR9 safety rating from Germany's VPAM, making it resistant to military-grade small arms like M14 and FAL-FN rifles, heavy machine gun shots, aerial drone attacks with explosive charges, and hand grenade attacks. The vehicle features armor steel body structure, armored glass windows, self-sealing fuel tank, and 20-inch light alloy wheels with run-flat tires. The interior remains luxurious with additional protective elements such as an onboard air system for gas or fire attacks. The i7 Protection is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup generating 544 hp but has reduced performance due to the added weight of armor protection.

The gas-powered version of the BMW 7-Series Protection comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine producing 523 hp. Deliveries for both the i7 Protection and the gas-powered 7-Series Protection are set to begin late in the year.
