Mick Fanning Fanning started out like a house on fire putting Kelly Slater in a combo situation. Kelly Slater then returned fire with one of the best aerial maneuvers ever in a contest to record a perfect 10.

Kelly Slater after recording that perfect 10 pt ride backed up with a wave that many would say equaled Mick Fanning's first 9pt ride. The judges then returned him only an 8.07 leaving Slater with an 8.80 to equal Mick Fanning's 18.80 total.
Anyway watch the video, if not only to see Kelly Slaters unbelievable no grab 360 air. Also look out for Mick Fanning's 9.70 ride where he pulled out him incredible high speed top turns. Many would argue that this wave of Fannings deserved a 10 as well.
But at the end of the day Mick Fanning has his name on the iconic Bell's Beach Bell trophy.
