Clean: Stock pickups 0:06 Evos 2:00 Distorted: stock 0:59 Evos 2:54
I actually didn't think the stock pickups sounded too bad in this guitar (a '13 Japan-market Genesis Series RG550 - they're actually a V1/V2 set, I accidentally labelled them as a V7/V8 in the video), but I wanted something a little more obnoxious and over the top, both looking and sounding.
This was recorded with a SM57 and a MD421 through a BAE 1073MP, with the 421 about -2.5db behind the SM57, through an Apogee Ensemble. There was a Sonimus Britson channel strip sim (with no low or high pass) and a light delay on the guitar bus, and then I "mastered" the audio up to CD volume, but there was no other post processing on the guitars, so these are pretty true to life.
