'A Girl Like You' from 'Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper' with only Erika's voice done by TheFanDubFan, so you can sing Anneliese's part or learn how to sing Erika's part. You don't have to ask before using this, but I'd love to see the result.
Lyrics:
Erika:
If I'd like to have my breakfast hot madam Carp will make me pay
And I have to fetch the eggs myself and the barn's a mile away
It's cold and wet and still I get an omelette on my plate
But in my head I'm back in bed snuggled up and sleeping late
Anneliese:
Really?
Erika:
Really. But it's alright, I mean, I'm used to it, and you?
Anneliese:
Well...
Erika:
Well?
Anneliese:
If I want some eggs I ring the bell and the maid comes running in
And she serves them on a silver tray and she brings a cookie tin
And while I eat, she rubs my feet, and strolling minstrels play
But I'd rather be in my library reading science books all day
Erika (Anneliese):
I'm just like you (you are?)
You're just like me
There's somewhere else we'd rather be
Somewhere that's ours
Somewhere that dreams come true
Yes I am a girl like you
You'd never think
That it was so
But now I've met you and I know
It's plain as day
Sure as the sky is blue
That I am a girl like you
Anneliese:
So, you're a singer?
Erika:
No, I work at madam Carp's penetentiary- uh! I mean, dress emporium.
Anneliese:
I love madam Carp's dresses!
Erika:
I made the one you're wearing.
Anneliese:
You made this? It's my favourite! The design looks so complicated.
Erika:
Oh but it isn't really.
First I choose a fabric from the rack and I pin the pattern down
And I stitch it in the front and back and it turns into a gown
Anneliese:
I wear the gown without my crown and dance around my room
Together:
And imagine life without the strife of an unfamiliar groom
Anneliese:
But I'd never let my mother know, I-I wouldn't want to disappoint her.
Erika:
I completely understand
Anneliese (Erika):
I'm just like you (I think that's true)
You're just like me (yes I can see)
Together:
We take responsibility
Anneliese (Erika):
We carry through (we carry through)
Together:
Do what we need to do
Yes I am a girl like you
Erika (Anneliese):
I'm just like you (I'm just like you)
You're just like me (you're just like me)
Together:
It's something anyone can see
Anneliese (Erika):
A heart that beats (a heart that beats)
Together:
A voice that speaks the truth
Yes I am a girl like you

Fair Use of Copyrighted Material (interpretation by youtubers)
1. Purpose and Character of Use
We (people who upload fandubs with them singing copyrighted songs) are NOT doing this for any commercial purpose!
We simply love to sing and listen to each other's singing, so the videos and instrumental versions of the copyrighted
songs are just subordinate in relation to our own singing. Our voices add something new and give the songs a different
character.
2. Nature of Copyrighted Work
The most important copyrighted material we're using is the melody of the songs. We don't take the original singers'
voices and say they're our own, and the animation is really just a something that supports our singing.
3. Relative Amount
The amount of copyrighted material we're using is just fractional (background + music). The most important part in the
movies is the singing part by the character, and that's just the part we're not infringing.
4. Effect upon Potential Market
In my opinion, this point was constantly overlooked by copyright owners! We fandubbers are POPULARIZING animated videos
by Disney, Don Bluth and other companies! If a fandubber sings a rather unknown song, his/her subscribers are inclined
to look up the original video to compare and get to know more works of the copyright owner! Fandubbers are really a free
advertisement for those companies, especially to make the songs known among teenagers and adults who usually make up just
a small part of the target audience.
