The Crystal Cabin Awards is known in aviation as "the oscars" for aircraft interior innovation. During a gala celebration on 6 June in Hamburg, Germany, the 2023 Crystal Cabin Awards were distributed. Runway Girl Network editor and publisher Mary Kirby presented the Crystal Cabin Award in the University category to students at TU Delft for their lightweight seat cushion, which is 3D-printed and uses sustainable fibres to reduce material while supporting the passenger.
