We′ve been seeing dramatic scenes unfolding in Paris northern suburb of Saint Denis... a teeming quarter with a large immigrant population... this evening... an armed police carried out a deadly swoop on apartments in that area... with the mastermind of Friday′s terrorist attacks in Paris targeted in that raid.
A lot of breaking news out of France today...
Let′s go live to our Kwon Jang-ho in our newsroom.
Jang-ho, first... we′ve been getting reports that police took out two suspects out from that raid... just in the nick of time... as they were moments away from carrying out another terror attack.
Good evening, Connyoung.
Yes that′s right, as you mentioned, two deaths have been confirmed by the French authorities, as well as seven people arrested.
The police operations officially concluded about two hours ago, and details are still emerging.
Of the two who died, one is said to have been a woman, who killed herself by detonating a ′suicide′ belt.
The other was reportedly killed by a grenade.
There were earlier reports of a bystander who was thought to have died, but that doesn′t seem to be the case any more.
The French police have said that 5 police officers suffered slight injuries.
French media report... what led the authorities to the raid operations today was a cell phone at the site of one of Friday′s shootings.
The fruit of those raids is a developed understanding of a spider web network of infestation, if you will, of terror attacks... leading them to a second team of equal manpower, firepower, and explosive power to one on Friday.

As you previously mentioned, ivestigations led the French police to an apartment building in Saint Denis, a northern suburb of Paris.
That′s only 2km away from the Stade de France, one of the targets of Friday’s attacks.
People in the area were woken up at around four-twenty, a.m. by sounds of gunfire and explosions, which continued in bursts over the next three hours.
The police were said to have faced more resistance than they expected, and quickly SWAT teams and military reinforcements were brought in.
Local residents were evacuated, while others were advised to stay indoors and away from windows.
Have the authorities identified the suspects and the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks? What about their whereabouts?
That has yet to be confirmed by the French authorities.
Initially it was thought the police targeted Salah Abdeslam, one of the attackers on the run after Friday′s shooting...in addition to another accomplice who had been spotted in video footage, in the same car with Abdeslam...and Abdel-Hamid Abu Oud who is said to be the mastermind behind Friday′s attacks.
Until today, Abdel-Hamid was thought to be Syria, and it was a surprise to many when sources suggested that he was the target of today′s raid.
Whether any of these suspects were those killed or arrested, is not yet known.
Conn-young.
