Ville Hermanni Valo (November 22, 1976) is a Finnish singer, songwriter and musician, known as the leader and singer of the band HIM. After the release of the album Ville Valo & Agents, which paid tribute to singer-songwriter Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki, Ville Valo is currently working on his new solo project under the name VV, on March 20, 2020 he released an album (EP ), entitled: "Gothica Fennica Vol.1.", on their official website, YouTube and on HIM's social networks, which they currently maintain under the name "Heartagram", focusing on Ville Valo's solo career, since HIM announced its dissolution. Three songs make up the album "Gothica Fennica Vol. 1": "Salute The Sanguine", "Run Away From The Sun" and "Saturnine Saturnalia", with which Ville returns to the most powerful activity, in a musical line very close to the one that gave world fame to HIM. In the year 2022 Ville Valo announces the release of his debut solo album titled "Neon Noir" which will be accompanied by a headlining tour of Europe and the United States for 2023.

Ville Valo has composed, produced, engineered, recorded, written, sung and played all the musical instruments on the "Neon Noir" album. The cover was designed by Ville Valo and Rami Mursula. The photographs in the album are by Joonas Brandt. The mix of the album has been done by Tim Palmer. The album will be released on Ville Valo's label, Heartagram Records, and distributed by Spinefarm/Universal/UMG.
VV/Neon Noir Tour 2023, the tour starts on the same day as the album release, on January 13, 2023, at the famous Tavastia club in Helsinki. The musicians who will accompany Valo on tour are: Risto Rikala (drums), Sampo Sundström (guitar), Juho Vehmanen (bass) and Mikko Virta (guitar).
