An explosion at a pop concert in the northern English city of Manchester, has killed at least 19 people with dozens more being injured.
The authorities say it was a terror attack,... with some reports suggesting it might have been a suicide bomber.
With more updates on this horrific event at a concert largely attended by young kids, we turn to Yu Joonhee.
Joonhee, what more can you tell us about this about this developing story?
Yes Mark, just over an hour ago... the Chief Constable of the Greater Manchester Police, Ian Hopkins, held a press conference... where he told reporters that U.K. authorities are treating the event as a "terrorist incident" until further information becomes available.
He also advised citizens, to avoid the area around the concert venue.
If this was indeed an act of terrorism, it would be the deadliest attack in Britain since the 2005 London bombings that killed 52 people.
The U.K. has raised its terror alert level to "severe"... meaning that further attacks is considered highly likely.
Witnesses say they heard two loud bangs on Monday night at Manchester Arena, where American pop-singer Ariana Grande had been performing.
Videos emerging online showed scenes of chaos, with hundreds of people fleeing the venue in a state of panic.
19 people are confirmed dead so far, and some 50 others have been injured, who are being treated at six different hospitals.
Several media outlets, citing American intelligence officials, reported that a suicide bomber was behind the attack, but there has been no confirmation of that account so far.
Back to you, Mark.
