Lauki Ka Bharta
Another sabzi which all the fussy kids who don’t like Lauki will love having this version of Lauki. Won’t even realise that they were served with Lauki.
Enjoy Delicious Lauki Bharta.
Ingredients :
1 Bottle Gourd (Lauki)
1 tbs Oil
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
Finely chopped Green Chillies (as per taste)
1 finely chopped Onion
Salt as per taste
1 finely chopped Tomato
1 tsp Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder)
Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Kasuri Methi
Chopped Coriander
Method :
Take 1 Lauki and put it on direct gas heat
Roast until it's completely dark and starts releasing skin
Peel its skin and chop well with the help of knife
Further heat 1 tbs Oil in a pan
Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Add 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
Add finely chopped Green Chillies (as per taste)
Add 1 finely chopped Onion
Add Salt as per taste
Add 1 finely chopped Tomato
Cook until it's soft
Now add 1 tsp Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder)
Add Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
(You can also add garam masala)
Roast well and add charred lauki
Mix it well, cover the lid and cook for more 10-15 min on medium heat
Add Kasuri Methi & chopped Coriander in the end
Enjoy Delicious Lauki ka Bharta with Roti
