On Tuesday, May 7, at 1:30 p.m. EST, celebrate International Compost Awareness Week and take your K-8 students on a free Virtual Field Trip to learn about vermicomposting, a process of composting organic waste using worms. You and your students will have the opportunity to:

- Discover how worms can be used to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich compost
- Learn about the entire vermicomposting process and the life cycle of worms
