Welcome to the historical island of Ithaca (Ιθάκη), the home of Odysseus and the Odyssey written by Homer. Although there are several studies which claim that Ithaca from the Greek mythology might be based in a different place than the modern day Ithaca, one of the arguments being the mountainous nature of modern Ithaca, which conflicts with the description of Ithaca written by Homer, Ithaca (Ithaka, Ithaki, Ιθάκη) is traditionally accepted to be the island home of the hero Odysseus in Iliad and the Odyssey.
I not only take you on an adventure around Vathi (Vathy) on Ithaca but I also sail across to other places in Greece on Lefkada (Lefkas) Island and Meganisi Island. I show you the beautiful villages of Sivota, Spartochori, Nydri and Abelike, mostly shot from the drone in 4k. Get ready for the historical and modern day adventure across some amazing Greek Islands, harbours and bays.
I also tell you my thoughts about South Ionian sailing flotilla with Neilson Active Holidays. The good and the bad things, final review and the improvements that I believe should be made.
