Tara Jane O'Neil grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where she became first known to the rest of the world through her time in Rodan. When they split, she was already working in Retsin, and eventually went on to the Naysayer but recorded numerous solo albums with various friends in the meantime. For years Tara has been singing, writing, arranging, and playing, but try not to put her in the "singer-songwriter" category, as, to her, a classification like that has the potential to be limiting or fuel expectations: something she would rather not do.
