Software Driven Space
DaimlerChrysler at the Geneva Motor Show 2003
Surrounded by countless auto presentations at the Geneva Motor Show 2003, DaimlerChrysler took its visitors by surprise with an unusual spatial and media installation. In a ‘software driven space’, visitors were invited to learn more about current questions of research and development.
A ceiling of 5,000 radially arranged blue neon lights connected the installation with the DaimlerChrysler group’s adjoining trade stands - creating a corporate space that was visible from afar. The layout of the entire DaimlerChrysler forum was reflected in the centre of this ‘Blue Sky’. On the interior walls of the forum, which made full use of the maximum headroom of 1,65 metres, a wraparound media installation turned the concern claim “Answers for questions to come” into an interplay of questions and answers. In the middle of the exhibition, excitement drew visitors into the thematic world of DaimlerChrysler.
