If you thought you had heard the last of the term: “Windows End of Life”, think again. As of July 14, 2015, Windows Server 2003 will officially be considered end of life and Microsoft will cease to support the platform. Needless to say, the thought of upgrading servers and migrating hundreds or even thousands of applications is making a lot of IT professionals sweat.
Since this is such a huge issue, we’re going to break this conversation into two parts. In the first episode, we will talk about the business implications of Windows Server 2003 End of Life. We will start with a candid overview of the situation and assess your options. In part 2, we’re going to strap on our propellerhead hats and dive head first into the technical aspects of EOL so make sure your technical team tunes in.
We are very excited to have Stephen Deming join us for this 2 part series. Stephen, a 12 year Microsoft veteran, is a Senior Partner Technology Strategist at Microsoft and will provide invaluable insight into the situation. If you have any specific questions for Stephen or the rest of the WireSide chats team, please leave them in the comments and we will be sure to address them on the show.
