Callie Brownson made history this past season, when she became the first woman to serve as a position coach, during an NFL game.
Brownson talked with 3News Anchor Maureen Kyle about the amazing year she had with the Browns, and how she’s paying this opportunity forward, to the next generation of female football fans.
Head Coach Kevin Stefanski is proud to have her part of the Browns.
"Callie is a great utility player for us, and she can fill in anywhere," he said. "She is involved with the offense, defense and special teams and what she does behind the scenes for us."
And considering the unique circumstances created by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Brownson's adaptability has been nothing short of invaluable for the Browns.
"With what 2020 has brought to us, to me and to this organization, we need people to be team players," Stefanski said. "I am proud of her and proud of her journey, and it is going to continue here.”
