It has been a long time coming! A long build, but well worth it. After months of building and waiting for parts, lots of think work and even traveling to the other side of the world to have it on display at the Castle booth at RCX, it is time for a test run. Taking it easy to make sure everything work as planned, I take the Axial Yeti XXL out to the quarry. The past few days it has rained and there's puddles and mud all over the place, perfect to see how the two Castle Creations Mamba Monster X setups will handle the additional weight when I combined two Axial Yeti XL kits to build a twin motor four seater!
I need to ease the throttle when pulling away to avoid the Pitbull tires ripping themselves apart from the Vanquish rims. The Vanquish rear axle ensures I will have no gear failures with the 6 cells powering just the rear wheels. The XXL handles like a dream and stays very stabile under load, torque twist is barely noticeable with the double shocks and sway bar installed in the rear. The light are from Proline Racing, and they are easy to install and very effective. Many more running videos to come!
