This drill starts out fairly simple and gets a bit more advanced as each step progresses.
Part 1: explosive t pushes with a shuffle across
Part 2: t push, shuffle, butterfly.
Part 3: t push, edges, t push
Make your own combination of the drill, or do the exact same 3 step process. As with any skating drill, doing the drill a million miles an hour while being technically incorrect is not productive. Even if you're not 100% sure HOW you should be playing, study goaltenders like the two you see here, study NHL goalies, watch the way they move and how they carry their bodies--and try to incorporate it into your own game.
Now, that doesn't mean doing something just because a pro did it--it means learning from the pros and taking bits and pieces that fit your style of play and building a better technical base than the day before.
