Bela Bartók’s only opera,Bluebeard’s Castle, is used as a vehicle for exploring the issue of divine and human passion. Paralleling Bluebeard’s journey with the Via Crucis-Christ’s path to Golgotha- the pianist Giorgos Konstantinou reworks pieces by Bartók and Liszt for an unusual combination of instruments: piano and a musical saw playing by virtuozo - soloist Nikos Giousef . The saw gives voice to the cries of Bluebeard’s wives as well as the lament for the Passion of Jesus.

Η μοναδική όπερα του Μπέλα Μπάρτοκ Ο πύργος του Κυανοπώγωνα γίνεται η πλατφόρμα για την προσέγγιση του θέματος του θείου και του ανθρώπινου πάθους. Σε μια παράλληλη ανάγνωση της πορείας του Κυανοπώγωνα και της Via Crucis, της πορείας του Ιησού προς τον Γολγοθά, ο πιανίστας Γιώργος Κωνσταντίνου μαζί με τον σολιστ του μουσικού πριονιού Νίκο Γιούσεφ, ανασυνθέτει το υλικό των Μπάρτοκ και Λιστ, για έναν απρόσμενο συνδυασμό οργάνων: πιάνο, πριόνι και σφυρί . Το πριόνι μεταφράζει μουσικά τους λυγμούς των συζύγων του Κυανοπώγωνα, αλλά και το θρήνο για τα Πάθη του Ιησού.
