In this video, Jason Vong shares his solution on using a smartphone as a camera monitor. While he personally uses the Sony XPERIA PRO with a unique HDMI connection, unfortunately for most, it would be an incredibly expensive solution. Comments on his social media posed whether or not a cheaper solution exist for iPhone and Android users. The answer is a yes! Both "Imaging Edge" and "Monitor+" are FREE apps that allow you to transmit your Sony camera feed to your phone! There is also a paid version of "Monitor+" which opens up pro monitoring features such as Zebras, Peaking, LUT Preview, and more! However, Jason also shares the drawbacks he experienced using both apps. Would it be enough to sway people to still buy a dedicated monitor? Or is it usable enough for the general public? Watch the video and find out!!
