This is Bronislaw Huberman playing Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei, op. 47 (originally for Cello), a beautiful set of variations based on two themes of Jewish origin.
Bruch, being a Protestant, never presumed to write Jewish music. However, he wished to incorporate Jewish inspirations into his own compositions.
This recording is from 1930. The pianist is Siegfried Schultze.
