This commercial was produced back when Disney started to take over ABC's Saturday morning schedule following their buyout of ABC back in 1996. The following year the block was retooled into "Disney's 1 Saturday Morning."
The schedule for ABC's Saturday morning in the 1996-97 TV Season had the following:
Gargoyles The Goliath Chronicles, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Doug (Disney version, based on Nick's version), Mighty Ducks the Series, Street Sharks, Bugs/Tweety Show, Bone Chillers, ABC Weekend Special, Jungle Cubs, DuckTales and Nightmare Ned.
