Three days after launching on its Soyuz booster rocket, the Russian ISS Progress 45 cargo ship docked to the International Space Station Nov. 2, 2011, delivering almost three tons of food, fuel and supplies to the residents of the complex. The unmanned resupply ship automatically linked up to the Pirs Docking Compartment on the Russian segment of the station after launching from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Oct. 30 in a successful comeback from the failure of a similar Soyuz booster on Aug. 24 that resulted in the loss of the ISS Progress 44 cargo ship.
