Welcome to the Pryor Mountain Horse Range
I took a 2 day Jeep adventure into the Pryor Mountains and the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range. This is Episode 1 of 2. I spent the night in my Jeep so that I would be able to spend more time up there. I am glad I did. I haven't been there overnight before and I plan on doing it again this coming summer. (I will be better prepared nex time)
To spend the entire day and next morning in the company of the wild horses is forever etched in my soul. It gives you a sense of harmony that is unforgettable.
**( Even though it looks like I am close to the horses, most all images are taken from my vehicle. Sometimes the horses surround me.)
I am trying to label the wild horses. If I have made an error please let me know in the comments or if you know a name I haven't listed please make a note as well with the timestamp so that I can add later.
How to get there:
Just south of Bridger Mt on Hwy 310 is the turnoff to the Pryor Mountain Road. This is the route that I take up to the Wild Horse Range, It is the closest route up for me. PMR winds through ranch land and the Pryor Wind Farm before starting it's uphill climb from 3,667 (Bridger Mt) to 8,750 elevation at the entrance to the Wild Horse Range.
