The real question we need to ask ourselves is, "is my dog really aggressive?" Alot of times the answer is NO and in this video you will watch America's Canine Educator bring tears to the owner of this misunderstood GSD. More importantly what happens when we diagnose faulty? NO RESULTS and unfortunately potentially ending up with the dog being put down, sad but true.
How can you be wrong if you simply don't know? Thats the idea behind all our training here at the Upstate Canine Academy. Words like "aggression", "alpha" and "My dogs dominant " get thrown around ALOT. Why? Simply lack of education my friends.
SO, to be clear there are hundreds of variations of canine behavior and we just need to do a bit more studying, learning and for us EDUCATING. We are all on the same team and have similar goals with our dogs and this is a GREAT case study. I would bet 9/10 times the dog owner population would deem this dog "aggressive" which is scary to us, knowing the REAL dog under all the layers of insecurity and fear we had to peel off.
