“Louisiana Fairytale” was written by J. Fred Coots, Haven Gillespie, and Mitchell Parish in 1935 and this easygoing swinging number entered the standard repertoires of a lot of traditional jazz bands. Fats Waller helped make this song a hit with his version of it in 1935. Coots and Gillespie also collaborated on “You Go to My Head” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” among other popular songs. We enjoyed putting this arrangement together and hope that you enjoy listening to it!
