January 2022 was a blessed month in the Algarve. Most days boasted moderate swell sizes and gentle East winds. This is what we are all in search of. The whole west coast was breaking beautifully and the crowds spread out over its many beaches. In the water everyone was catching pleanty of waves and some familiar local faces showed up at Praia do Castelejo (Vila do Bispo), notably Alex Botelho and a couple of his mates.
