Clos de Bèze is a grand cru vineyard that was first mentioned in 640 in a donation act to the Abbaye de Bèze, north of Dijon. Multilayered flavours of cherry, currant, blueberry, pomegranate, dark chocolate, liquorice, cinnamon and white pepper interlaced with forest floor notes. Wonderfully well-proportioned, it displays a fascinating duality of power and grace, intertwined with elegance and precision. Brimming with ethereal beauty, Nicolas Groffier’s Clos de Bèze has a textural finesse and a silky touch seldom matched by its peers.
