Hi everyone! Today's review is for The First Binding by R.R. Virdi. The review will be spoiler-free. I loved this one, and yes it is HUGELY inspired by The Name of the Wind. It's also an excellent South Asian-inspired high fantasy novel. I've been eyeing this since last year after I saw the cover art and the premise. I think readers who love The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss will either love or hate this. Reader's experience will rely on how much they can accept or tolerate the similarities between the two books. The First Binding is still three months away from publication on August 16th, 2022. But do let me know whether you have this book on your radar or not!
