A man has been arrested at Bangkok airport for allegedly carrying 17 live animals in his luggage. Among the haul were a white desert fox, raccoon, iguana and a white python, Thai police said. Abilash Annaduri, who was bound for the eastern Indian city of Chennai on August 17, 2022, allegedly hid the animals under snacks in suitcases. Thailand is a notorious place for smuggling wildlife, which are often bound for China and Vietnam markets. But officials say India is also becoming a popular destination.
