Gearbest.com said they had item in stock and took my payment on 10/15. They later sent me an email stating "The manufacturer informs us that this item has been upgraded. Compared with previous one, the upgraded version has a better performance.
Besides,the keys and charging cable will be slightly different from the one on our website in appearance.". What I received is the old version with the old charger and a new battery. The board side was always warm, and the battery drained with the device sitting idle. It was totally unreliable. When it worked it would just stop working when there was plenty of battery, I'd have to plug it in to the usb, and then it would work again until that happened again. I think they sent me a returned board side with a new battery that was already defective, but I have no idea. I do know that when I opened a ticket I got no response for 5 days so at least for me their 24/7 support and 1 day response for tickets was not true in my case. I know I opened a paypal dispute and got an email within a few hours from gearbest.com asking me to cancel the dispute and they'd work it out with me. Gearbest.com after sending me something other than what I was told I would receive, that was defective, offered me a $18 refund. I didn't realize gearbest.com was direct to China. I dealt with fasttech.com before and was satisfied, but I think I'm done dealing directly with China.
