Recipe:
Filling:
1 lbs frozen cherries with juice
1 lbs frozen blackberries with juice
1/3 cup date paste
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond extract
¼ cup arrowroot starch
Crumbs:
1 cup walnuts and/or pecans
2 dates
¼ tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 375F.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and add to par-baked pie crust (see reels)
Cover and bake for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until filling looks set and crust is golden. Top with nut crumbs. Enjoy!
