(2 Sep 2011) HEADLINE: NJ Resident: Water in home ''up to our knees''
CAPTION: Three days after Hurricane Irene hit, record flooding continues to keep thousands of New Jersey residents out of their homes. Little Falls and Montville Township were among the hardest hit. (Aug. 30)
SOT: the river came up pretty fast this time. It''s worse than the last flood a few months ago. It almost flooded again but 2 months ago but it didn''t go inside the house. But this time it''s going to go up even higher. We''ve lived here since 2005 and this is the worst flood we''ve had. We''ve been flooded at least 3-4 times. This year we''ve been flooded out twice.
SOT: it''s a nice area, I like it. It''s very peaceful, very relaxed, just a lot of floods. But other than that, it''s a great place to live
Adrian Lopez/Little Falls, NJ Resident
SOT: we woke up this morning, and towards the evening of yesterday night it was all the way in front of our house. It was in the front steps of our house. We woke up this morning and it was like this. It''s been really bad. We woke up and it''s in our house, up to our knees.
SOT: we have a lot of damage here, more damage than any of the years before. Right now it''s past our knees inside the house and that''s never happened before. It''s never gone passed that house
