Sometimes you have to adapt your equipment for your needs and to better suit high-demand and high-risk environments, the 5.11 TacTec Plate Carrier is no different.
I really like the carrier, it's comfortable and well padded, vents well, retains plates extremely well, and is highly modular. The only issues I've found are with the retention cord/ pull handle and sectional cummerbund-- apart from a lack of 5.56 and 7.62 magazine pouches in the GEO7 camo pattern (love the pattern, Veil Camo makes amazing stuff and it's a cool partnership, they just need to make more stuff for a proper matching loadout). Just showing how I augmented the carrier to better suit operational and personal needs. Enjoy.
