The Image: Visually matchless! Lots of blue, lots of sandy brown, bits of blue and black and white and suddenly - the backwater little Italian town-on-a-Sunday feel is rudely decimated by that bloke on a motorbike.
I love this weird interlude as the motorbike suddenly appears from nowhere - the volume rises hugely to accommodate the sudden throttle surge the unnamed character applies to his machine.
The guy appears variously in the film from time to time - but why and wherefore and who is never explained. Genius!
