US 127 is a highway which runs north and south through the central part of the state of Michigan. I head north on US 127 from I-96 near East Lansing, Michigan all the way to M-57 between Ithaca and St. Johns. This stretch of US 127 runs in between Lansing and East Lansing and then goes into the central Michigan countryside while bypassing the city of St. Johns. In addition, this stretch of US 127 is mostly a freeway with the exception of the area north of St. Johns. A small stretch of US 127 also runs concurrently with I-496 in the Lansing area.
