Meet Officer Ryan Weeks of the Greenville Police Department in this "Why Do You Do What You Do?" Scaly Adventures video! Officer Weeks served 4 years in the Marine Corps, and after his military service joined the GPD. He has been with the force for about 6 years and always wanted to be a K-9 handler.
The Greenville Lion's Club donated $20,000 to cover the purchase of a K-9, training and food for 7 years, and that's how Leo was brought into the force to be Officer Weeks' partner! They enjoy working together to keep the community safe, and Leo is able to detect explosives so event venues in the area can be checked in advance. Thank you, Officer Weeks & K-9 Leo, for your service!
