Germany, 20 years ago: After Euro-Dance started to ebb away a new movement began: Suddenly Hip-Hop and Rap became very popular and especially German record companies used this to form new groups releasing Rap-songs. Euro-Rap was born - a genre with melodic choruses (most taken or slightly altered from 70s or 80s hits) and positive lyrics about love, faith, equality and anti-drug-use. Interesting is also that producers who were big in Eurodance now were also intrumental in the rise of Euro-Rap (e.g. Toni Cottura who founded Fun Factory now produced Nana, Pappa Bear and more hip-hop artists)
To give you a sample here are 10 songs from 10 different artists (some of those had more good songs, but to get as many artists as possible in there I only use one song from each artist) - hope you enjoy!
