I see a lot of musicians (mostly - and mostly ones who are doing their own audio and video), simply set up a camera in a spot that looks good, and then HOPE that they record ok audio. Well... if you want to record better audio - you can use both the the video's audio or your camera audio PLUS you want to set up another phone/mic/zoom type unit to record the BEST AUDIO that you can get. The cleanest signal, the best sound. Do what you need to do to get both! ....and THEN, you will get much better audio and sound results for your videos.

I always figure - do as much as you can to make yourself sound as best as you can!
