Who were the first Jedi?

The Jedi were the bastions of peace in the Galaxy for tens of thousands of years. The Jedi of the clone wars era dogmatically followed the light side of the force but in both legends and canon, the first Jedi sought to find and maintain balance. In legends, the first Jedi were known as the Je'daii. The Je'daii were formed when mysterious ships known as tho yor began collecting force sensitives from across the Galaxy. They were brought to the force rich world of Tython, starting the Je'daii order. In Canon, the order was started by the prime Jedi over 25,000 years before the clone wars, often depicted in perfect balance between the light and the dark.
