The rise in population, per-capita income, e-commerce, and manufacturing has fueled the growth of the global logistics sector. The G20 nations, comprising 19 countries and the EU, accounting for 85% of the global GDP and 75% of the global trade, can lead by developing efficient logistics systems and scaling low-carbon freight mobility.
Highlighting the role of G20 nations in promoting sustainable logistics, RMI has authored a report titled "The Green Logistics Playbook: Sustainable Supply Chain Best Practices for G20 Leaders" and is hosting a webinar to launch and disseminate the report's findings. The webinar brings sustainability experts from policymaking, business, academia, research and development, and finance to discuss the strategies and global examples of governments and enterprises fostering sustainable logistics practices.
