Welcome to our online first grade math class. Join us outside as we explore signs of spring. We find pussy willows, maple sap, daffodils, wind, and bird songs. What will you find on your scavenger signs of spring hunt? As we identify the season of spring we will consider how it is different from winter, summer, and autumn. Join us! This video corresponds to the first grade (grade one) Saxon math curriculum lesson #115 Identifying Signs of Spring. It also introduces concepts included in the first grade math curriculum from Abeka, ACSI, Scott Foresman, Harcourt Math, and the province of New Brunswick.

This video and channel were created during the covid 19 (corona virus) pandemic. It's purpose is to provide online support for my students who are learning remotely at home. Perhaps it will also be an encouragement to other first grade (grade one) teachers who are striving to provide an online classroom as they navigate the new world of online teaching & remote learning.
