Anyone over the age of 40 who grew up in Phoenix will recognize Ladmo. (Ladimir Kwiatkowski) He was a mainstay in the Valley with his sidekick Wallace (and Gerald, Aunt Maud, Captain Super and Marshall Good). The show ran until 12/1989. Ladmo continued to do appearnces and spots like this Smitty's ad. I was able to meet Ladmo at Big Surf in 1990 when I worked there.

You will notice Ladmo is next to a Smitty's bag. His name will forever be tied to a Ladmo Bag, the give away for some lucky kids who were able to see them live at the studio.

This commercial originally aired on March 9th, 1990 It was run during the broadcast of the 10PM "Newschannel 3 News" on KTVK Channel 3 in Phoenix AZ. KTVK Channel 3 was the ABC Affiliate back then. Now its an independent station.
