Indigenous activist Gary Foley tells crowds Palestinian protesters were invited to march in rallies this year. 'We have invited our Palestinian brothers and sisters to be here today as an act of solidarity,' he says. Organisers had anticipated that after a failed voice referendum and months of protests calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, the themes of this year’s events would take in both Indigenous and Palestinian struggles.
