Responsive and stimulating caregiving promotes healthy early childhood development. Whether young children receive optimal nutrition, health, and early stimulation at home depends on the knowledge, skills, and attentiveness of their caregivers. Educating adult caregivers on children’s early development and providing supports for at-risk families can result in better outcomes for children across multiple domains.
This video, which was developed by R4D's Center for Education Innovation as part of an Early Leaning Toolkit, explains the importance of responsive and stimulated caregiving and how to begin implementing it.
