A new, on-site, separate facility for the assembly of high-voltage batteries has been added to BMW Group’s state-of-the-art plant in Debrecen, for which construction began six months ago.
This capacity-expanding addition will manufacture batteries for the company’s fully-electric “NEUE KLASSE” generation vehicles.
The total investment volume for the entire Debrecen project is set to exceed 2 billion euro, as well as create more than 500 additional new jobs by the end of 2025.
