🚀Create your own chemical reaction with these easy and fun rockets! If you're feeling a little extra, decorate your rocket with things you have around the house and set your rocket with the lid facing down on the table to watch it blast off!

💥What you need:
Film Canister
Alka Seltzer tablets (or any effervescing tablet)
Water

🧪The Science - What is causing your rocket to blast off? When you mix the effervescing tablets with water, a chemical reaction takes place between the citric acid and sodium bicarbonate in the tablet and water. It's creating bubbles of carbon dioxide gas and when the gas is too great for the container the lid pops off! Newton's Third Law explains this: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The lid goes one way and the canister goes the other.

⚠️Caution! Make sure you have a clear space above you and don't stand directly over the canisters! Don't point the canisters at anyone or anything.
