Many people’s first instinct when others offer a hand is to say “I'm good".
This creates a problem in today’s life as sometimes society has the resources to offer but many simply reject it. Yiheng often finds himself in this predicament after refusing help in various circumstances. However, through three personal stories, Yiheng has learned the importance of accepting help while experiencing first-hand, the consequences of rejecting offered assistance.
Yiheng explores the benefits of accepting help and stresses the need for people to hone this simple but needed life skill. Yiheng is a 16-year-old sophomore attending Burnaby North Secondary who enjoys long philosophical walks and loves playing chess and badminton. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
